MemPalace

Local-first memory for AI agents that keeps conversations verbatim and searches them, with an MCP server

MemPalace preview

About

Give your coding agent a private memory of every past conversation

The quickest path is npx skills add MemPalace/mempalace, then ask your coding agent to set it up: the setup skill installs the package, configures MCP and asks whether you want a local palace or a shared hub. Manually, run uv tool install mempalace and mempalace init ~/projects/myapp, or use the ghcr.io/mempalace/mempalace Docker image with a volume mounted at /data. Things to know: the only official sources are the GitHub repo, the PyPI package and mempalaceofficial.com, and the README warns about impostor domains; for Claude Code, wire the auto-save hooks from the retention checklist so sessions are captured before they expire.
