Managed agents you can host yourself
An agent config names the model provider and where the agent runs: your own computer, a server you connect, or a pool of Omnara-managed sandboxes. npx omnara agents launch starts it, npx omnara agents chat talks to it in the terminal, and the dashboard shows every tool call so you can watch and reply. The SDK streams agent events into your own app. Self-hosting is one docker compose command, and there is a SKILL.md your coding agent can follow to set it up for you. It hit the top of Show HN on 2026-10-21 (94 points). The repo is Apache-2.0 with about 3k GitHub stars and daily commits.
