About

Make videos with your agent, then edit them yourself

Each shot is a web page with one frame(t) function, so anything a browser can draw works: three.js, WebGL, canvas, SVG, CSS, GSAP and video. There is no framework to learn, which is the main difference from Remotion or HyperFrames. Install the skill with npx skills add openfilm/openfilm, then ask for something like a 20 second launch video for your CLI with music. The agent uses openfilm look (contact sheets and frame checks), openfilm render, and openfilm get for voice, music, images and video from services you connect with your own keys (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Google, fal). Edits in Studio are saved to the film's files, so the agent sees them. The skill pack includes templates like keynote, screen demo, lyric video, whiteboard and long to short. There is also a desktop app for macOS and Windows with a chat beside the editor. Needs Node 22.2+ and ffmpeg; the first run downloads a headless Chromium. MIT licensed, about 1.2k GitHub stars, shared as a Show HN on Oct 19, 2026.
