Make every routine check for changes before it runs

A one-time tune-up for your bot's routines: each one does a cheap check first (a hash of what it watches) and skips the full run when nothing changed. Real changes get a drafted plan for you to approve, non-urgent ones wait for a morning batch, and you see the cost before and after before anything is changed.

Best for Grok Bot users with several scheduled routines eating into their usage

Scheduled routines that rerun in full every time burn usage even when nothing changed. This one-time tune-up from Gipp (@gippp69) makes each Grok Bot routine check for changes first.

The bot reviews every routine you have running and proposes a cheaper version: take a snapshot of what it watches (a hash of the inbox list, page, feed or file), compare it to the last run, and stop with a logged skip if nothing changed. When something did change, it does the work but drafts any message or post and waits for your tap. Non-urgent items are held for one batch at 07:00. You get a table with current frequency, what it would check, and estimated usage before and after.

My tip: approve one or two routines at a time and keep any it flags as needing a full run unchanged.

Install it with its prompt: 1. copy the prompt below, 2. paste it into a new chat with your Grok Bot. It sets the job up from there.

Review every routine I have running. For each one, propose a "check first, run only on diff" version: before the full run, take a cheap snapshot of whatever the routine watches (a hash of the inbox list, page, feed or file) and compare it to the last run. If nothing changed, stop right there and log a skip. If something changed, do the real work, but draft any message, post or send and wait for my tap instead of sending it. Anything non-urgent should be held and batched into one run at 07:00 my time. Show me a table with each routine, how often it runs now, what it would check, an estimate of usage before and after, and anything you think should stay a full run. Change nothing until I say go, then apply only the routines I approve.

Questions

How can I cut how much my Grok Bot routines use?

Copy the prompt into a new Grok Bot chat. It reviews each routine and proposes a check-first version that skips the full run when nothing changed, with an estimate of usage before and after.

Will the bot change my routines without asking?

No. It changes nothing until you say go, then applies only the routines you approve.

Does a check-first routine still send messages automatically?

No. When something changed, it drafts any message, post or send and waits for your tap before it goes out.
