Find where a photo was taken, with evidence for every claim

About

Hand your agent a photo and say "find where this photo was taken". It reads clues like bridge pier spacing, shadows and ridge lines, then narrows the search with OpenStreetMap geometry, elevation skylines, satellite tiles and street view. You get coordinates with an error radius, the camera heading, a satellite evidence image and a graded confidence. README cases land within a few meters on photos with no GPS, text or landmarks.

Install

Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot

Access

High

What this skill's own files let it touch on your machine and accounts. Access isn't a verdict: check the publisher and the security audits too.

  • Bundles scripts
  • Runs shell commands
  • Writes files in your project
  • Uses the network
  • No credentials needed

Ships about twenty Python scripts run with uv (dependencies install on first use, including torch, CLIP and DINOv2 models) and a headless Chrome or Playwright Chromium for reverse image search. It queries OpenStreetMap, elevation, satellite tile and street view services and saves evidence files locally. No account or API key is required for the core flow. The author asks that it only be used on your own photos or ones you have permission to analyze, never to find people who have not agreed to be found.
