Plannotator

Review and annotate your agent's plans and diffs in the browser

Plannotator preview

About

Plannotator is an Apache 2.0 project by backnotprop with almost 10,000 GitHub stars. Everything runs locally, so plans and code never leave your machine.

## What it does When your agent proposes a plan, Plannotator opens it as a document you can mark up like a Google Doc: delete a step, comment on a line, ask for a change. Your notes go back to the agent as structured feedback. The same view works for HTML artifacts and for code review of local diffs or GitHub and GitLab PRs. ## Install `curl -fsSL https://plannotator.ai/install.sh | bash`, then follow the setup for your agent. It supports Git, GitButler, jj and Perforce repos.

Features

  • Annotate agent plans and specs before the agent starts coding
  • Code review for local diffs and GitHub or GitLab PRs
  • Feedback sent back to the agent automatically
  • Works with Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Kiro, Droid, Amp and Pi
  • Runs fully local
  • Supports Git, GitButler, jj and Perforce
