Official AWS plugins, skills and MCP server for coding agents
Agent Toolkit for AWS is the official, AWS-supported way to let a coding agent work on AWS without guessing at service APIs. It ships as plugins that each bundle the AWS MCP Server configuration plus a set of agent skills. aws-core covers service selection, CDK and CloudFormation, serverless, containers, storage, observability, billing, SDK usage and deployment. aws-agents covers building AI agents with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore, aws-data-analytics covers S3 Tables, Glue and Athena pipelines, aws-agents-for-devsecops wires in AWS DevOps Agent and AWS Security Agent for incident investigation, code review and pen tests, and aws-startup-advisor helps with startup architecture, cost and migrations from Azure, GCP, Heroku or other AI stacks. In Claude Code the main plugins are already on the official marketplace (/plugin install aws-core@claude-plugins-official). Codex and Cursor can add the repo as a plugin marketplace, Kiro and fx can add the MCP server and run npx skills add aws/agent-toolkit-for-aws/skills, and the AWS CLI has aws configure agent-toolkit. Skills and the MCP server work independently, so you can use just the knowledge layer or also give the agent live API access.
