Maestro

Mobile and web UI testing your coding agent can run through MCP

About

Let the agent check its app work on a real device

Install the Maestro CLI and add `maestro mcp` as a stdio server in your agent (setup is documented for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Copilot CLI, Cursor, Gemini, Windsurf and JetBrains). The agent can then launch the app, tap, type and assert on screen, debug a failing flow and write the flow file so you can run it again in CI. Flows are human-readable YAML, which makes agent-written tests easy to review. The framework is free and open source (about 16k GitHub stars); Maestro Studio is a desktop app and Maestro Cloud is the paid option for running suites at scale. Made by mobile.dev (@maestro__dev).

Features

  • MCP server built into the CLI, nothing extra to install
  • iOS simulators, Android emulators and web
  • Agent-written tests saved as readable YAML flows
  • Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot and more
  • CI integrations, plus Maestro Studio and Maestro Cloud
