About

Let your coding agent debug Kubernetes with real cluster context through MCP

Install with curl -fsSL https://get.radarhq.io | sh && kubectl radar, or brew install kubectl-radar. With Radar running, connect your agent read-only: claude mcp add --transport http radar http://localhost:9280/mcp-readonly (Codex: codex mcp add radar --url http://localhost:9280/mcp-readonly). Things to know: start with /mcp-readonly, the /mcp endpoint adds write tools and its diagnose tool can create short-lived probe pods; calls use your kubeconfig or each user's RBAC; --no-mcp turns MCP off.

Features

  • Issues, topology, event timeline, Helm, GitOps and traffic views
  • Built-in MCP server on the same port as the UI
  • Read-only /mcp-readonly endpoint with no write tools
  • Write tools on /mcp marked destructive so clients ask first
  • AI investigations run with the agent CLI you already use
  • Single binary, no account, no cluster agents or CRDs

Install

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • Cursor
  • Grok Bot
