DAX packages from a chat prompt
Ask things like "search DAX Lib for packages that generate SVG images" or "install DaxLib.SVG into the Sales Report model" and the assistant does the lookup and the install. There is no config file, no environment variables, no API keys and no telemetry: add one npx line to your MCP client and it works. Installing into a model needs Power BI Desktop on Windows x64 and a model at compatibility level 1702 or later. Announced by Marco Russo of SQLBI on 2026-10-22.
